This is post 10 of 10 in my Newborn Blog Series—a collection created to encourage, guide, and support you during this sacred season of early motherhood. As both a photographer and a fellow mom, I wanted this final entry to be personal.
To every new mother reading this: I see you.
I know these early days can feel impossibly big and yet completely invisible. From giving your body, to healing, to feeding and comforting a brand-new human around the clock—it’s a stretch unlike anything else. It’s holy, exhausting, sacred, and repetitive. Sometimes it feels like you’re doing the same thing day in and day out, wondering if anyone notices.
But I do.
I see your effort. I see the way you sway instinctively. The way you pause mid-sentence when your baby stirs. The way your eyes soften when you look at them, even when you’re running on so little sleep. You’re doing such a good job.
And that matters. So much.
This Work Is Enough (Even When It Doesn’t Feel Like It)
When I was in the newborn stage with my own babies, the words that meant the most were the simplest: “You’re doing great.” Just hearing that someone saw what I was carrying—that it wasn’t invisible—helped me keep going.
So let me say it to you now: You’re doing great.
Everything you’re doing matters. The sacrifice, the emotional load, the decisions you’re making every minute of the day—they add up to something eternal. It may not feel glamorous. It may not look like much from the outside. But you are shaping a soul.
One of my favorite verses in scripture reminds us:
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9
On the hard days, let that truth anchor you. You will reap something beautiful.

Why I Photograph Newborns the Way I Do
As a South Jordan newborn photographer and fellow mom, I’ve built my sessions around this exact message. I want to preserve your love—not just the polished parts, but the real, raw, tender ones. When you welcome me into your home, I know how much it takes. That’s why I work slowly, baby-led, and always with your emotional well-being in mind.
It’s not just about beautiful photos. It’s about honoring what’s real and reminding you that your motherhood is already enough.
A Final Encouragement
If you’re a new mom in South Jordan or anywhere in Salt Lake County, I hope you’ll reach out—not just when you’re ready for photos, but when you need someone who understands this stage of life. You are not alone. And the love you’re pouring into your family is seen.
You’re doing beautiful work. I promise.
