this is how i celebrate motherhood

I became the photographer I was searching for as a mother — someone who notices the quiet, meaningful parts of everyday life that so often slip by. The in-between moments. The routines. The way your home feels in this season.

Motherhood is repetitive and beautiful and demanding all at once. The days can feel long, but the years move quickly. I photograph slowly because I know how fleeting this chapter is — and how easily the smallest details become the ones we miss most.

This work isn’t about perfect smiles or curated versions of family life. It’s about preserving what is already there — the connection, the rhythm, the way your child still fits against you right now.

Those ordinary moments aren’t interruptions to real life. They are real life.

Why I Photograph This Way

You’re in the thick of it —
the early mornings, the snack requests, the laundry piles, the bedtime routines.

Your days feel ordinary. Full. Sometimes overwhelming.

And yet, somewhere deep down, you know this season is sacred.

You don’t need perfection.
You don’t want stiff poses or forced smiles.

You want to remember how your toddler curls into your shoulder.
How your newborn fits perfectly beneath your chin.
How your home feels right now — lived in, loved in, growing.

You want proof that this mattered.

You want to feel seen in the middle of it.

If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

What It’s Like To Work Together

Working with me is calm, unhurried, and thoughtfully guided. You don’t need a perfectly styled home, children who sit still, or any idea of what to do with your hands. You simply need to show up as you are. My sessions are designed to feel natural and steady — a space where real connection can unfold without pressure or performance.

Before your session, I take time to learn about your family — your routines, your rhythms, the small details that make this season uniquely yours. On session day, we move slowly. I guide when needed, step back when moments unfold naturally, and photograph with intention. I work with a limited number of families each month so every session receives the care and attention it deserves. This work isn’t about creating a version of your life. It’s about preserving it.

I’m drawn to natural light, lived-in spaces, and the quiet beauty of routine. I believe homes hold stories, and that the ordinary details — the kitchen counters, the nursery corners, the morning light — are often the ones we miss most with time.

I photograph the way I would want my own motherhood remembered: gently, honestly, and without pressure. It’s an honor to be invited into a family’s life during a season that will never look exactly like this again.

If this approach resonates with you, I would love to hear about your family and the season you’re in.
