If you’re looking for a photographer in South Jordan, Utah who really gets what it’s like to be a parent, welcome—you’re in the right place. I specialize in laid-back, lifestyle family photography for real families with real moments (and yes, real meltdowns sometimes too).

Today, I’m sharing 10 fun facts about me, so you can get to know the person behind the camera before your next session!

1. Health is a big part of my journey

I don’t drink coffee or soda—not because I don’t love treats, but because I’m super intentional about what I put in my body. Living with autoimmune diseases has taught me how important it is to take care of myself from the inside out. If I grab a drink, it’s usually a Lemon Perfect—so light, refreshing, and crisp!

2. I’m a South Jordan, Utah local

I photograph families all over South Jordan, Salt Lake City, and surrounding areas. From mountain-backed meadows to city parks, Utah has some of the most beautiful backdrops for family and lifestyle photography.

3. I’m a mom of neurodivergent kids—and I get it

Something that sets me apart as a photographer? I understand parenting in all its beautiful, complex forms. I’m a mom to some amazing neurodivergent kids, and while I protect their privacy, I love connecting with families who are on similar journeys. If you’re looking for a family photographer who works well with kids with autism, ADHD, or sensory sensitivities, I’d be honored to be that calming presence for your family.

4. I’m also a landscape painter!

When I’m not editing galleries, you can find me with a paintbrush in hand. I love painting landscapes—especially from our family vacations—and use both acrylic and watercolor to bring them to life. Creating art is how I unwind and reconnect with my creative side.

5. Dream shoot destination? Santorini or the fjords of Norway

One day I’d love to take my camera abroad—can you imagine a session on the cliffs of Santorini, Greece or along the Norwegian fjords? Both are on my photography travel bucket list.

6. I love the first few minutes of every session

As a family photographer in South Jordan, I’ve learned that the first five minutes can set the tone for everything. Parents often feel nervous about how their kids will act—but I love connecting with kids and helping them warm up. Once they feel safe, the real magic happens.

7. Meet Charlie—our 105-lb fluffball

We have a Newfoundland-poodle mix named Charlie, and he’s 100% the favorite in our house. He’s goofy, gentle, and the very best kind of chaos.

8. Early mornings are my happy place

I’m definitely a morning person, which works out perfectly for those dreamy sunrise family sessions in Utah. That golden light? Chef’s kiss.

9. I’m not afraid of rollercoasters—but banisters? Nope.

Fun fact: I’m scared of heights… unless I’m strapped into something. Rollercoasters are fine, but leaning over a second-story railing? Not happening. 😂

10. You’re doing a good job. Always.

During every session, I try to be that calm, encouraging voice. Whether your toddler’s melting down or your teen isn’t feeling it, I see the love and connection you bring. I’ll always point it out and remind you—you’re doing amazing.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, kid-friendly, real-life-loving family photographer in South Jordan or the Salt Lake City area, I’d love to chat with you!
